This is a remote position, based in the United States: San Francisco Bay Area candidates strongly preferred.

Summary:

The VP of Growth Marketing is a pivotal member of the marketing leadership team and will lead our growth efforts year over year. The Growth VP is responsible for pipeline generation and revenue operations, capable of presenting a holistic vision and demand generation roadmap at an executive level. The candidate understands all growth levers, can build “RICE” prioritization models (reach, impact, confidence, and effort), helps manage large budgets and cross functional teams. The candidate is measured on hitting target metrics, including leads (MQLs), accounts (MQAs), pipeline, and driving high-efficiency ROI across multiple channels. This role is responsible for immediate and long-term high-growth revenue goals that will make a big impact on Rootstock’s business. This role also has a great deal of influence in the shaping of Rootstock’s marketing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a scalable pipeline generation strategy and manage a team that executes growth and ops initiatives.
  • Drive high growth of key business metrics, including leads, MQLs/MQAs, SQLs, and qualified Opportunities, in a company that is committed to supporting the sales team with pipeline building
  • Able to optimize and scale existing programs to get them to the next level as well as bring true thought leadership and find creative / break-out solutions
  • Run and manage the operations team – including MarTech stack, sales operations, marketing operations, and data/analytics and reporting dashboards
  • Collaborate with CMO and CEO on defining marketing strategy and with peers in product marketing and corporate marketing on cohesively supporting their initiatives.
  • Create strategies and campaigns, concepting, architecting, and deploying omnichannel campaigns focused on awareness and conversion to sales and audience engagement
  • Build a strong, trusted relationship with the sales team and leadership while contributing updates in sales pipeline meetings and supporting revenue-generating initiatives
  • Implement new processes and technology to continuously improve our demand generation efficiencies.
  • Motivate, mentor, and develop the existing team; develop and implement a long-term plan for marketing team structure and growth. Leverage existing network to continue to build a world-class marketing team.
  • Lead the team in annual and quarterly planning, keep track of budget, and report on marketing initiatives’ performance with a focus on ROI and revenue growth
  • Exercise a data-centric approach to gather insights and use data to improve future marketing campaigns and results. Establish a clear framework for evaluation

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 15+ years’ experience with B2B companies, with an exceptional knowledge of the full marketing stack and in-depth knowledge of demand generation, including 5+ years working primarily within Salesforce
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, building and managing a marketing organization with a first-rate ability to recruit, retain, and motivate our existing team and future talent
  • Experience with marketing agency management and independent consultants
  • Successful history of scaling marketing programs (e.g. taking a company from $5M to $50-75M+ in ARR), including 3+ years at a single company scaling the team and function
  • A demonstrated history of being a team player and a willingness to jump in and help the team as needed
  • Passionate about marketing, sales, business, teams, and winning
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% annually.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Marketing leadership role within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Working in a Private Equity (PE) backed environment
  • ERP Experience

This role's estimated base salary range is between $185,000 - $225,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
